Ukrainian tennis star Marta Kostyuk recently left the arena in awe with her extraordinary turnaround against Jessica Pegula at the San Diego tournament. As both the WTA stars held their positions for the match, Kostyuk faced a depressing 1-5 deficit in the first set. However, she switched to her dominant mode, paving her way back to secure a massive victory.

Reflecting on her incredible performance after the match, Kostyuk candidly expressed her initial frustrations, stating, “As I said before I lost to Jess in the previous match very easy… I was disappointed it was going in the same direction.”

Although Marta Kostyuk’s victory over Jessica Pegula was surely a remarkable one, her thoughts about the match depicted the confusion that she carried about her victory. Besides what she told fans about her previous match against Pegula, she added a confused remark as well.

Starting off with the dissatisfaction that she carried with her performance, the Ukrainian said, “I wasn’t really happy with the trajectory of my game.” Along with that, she expressed her confusion, stating, “I kept trying to do something to change things. You know, I really don’t know the answer to what happened after that.”
