The 2024 Dubai Tennis Championships will be a WTA 1000 event after being a 500 event in 2023. The upgraded point system means that players will give their all to advance in the tournament to win. Coco Gauff will play against Elisabetta Cocciaretto in her first-round clash in the tournament. For Cocciaretto, it’ll be the toughest battle of her life.

The Italian player can use a win against a top star in 2024. She has not had much luck in her career, but a win against Gauff will set her up nicely for the rest of the season.
