The American tennis legend, Serena Williams, is getting ready to move into the entertainment world and start a new chapter in her life. As she prepares to take on a new role, she is receiving love and support from her supporters as well as the tennis community as a whole. Without a doubt, Billie Jean King, who has advocated for the advancement of women, was among the first in the tennis fold to support Williams in her new endeavor.

The 12-time Grand Slam champion and the ‘Queen of the Court’ share certain similarities. They have worked tirelessly  advocating women’s rights issues in addition to being successful tennis players. And King is quite impressed with the way Williams is paving the way forward for others with the new venture.

Billie Jean King’s encouraging words for Serena Williams 

The 79-year-old American legend recently took to her Twitter account to appreciate Williams’ new venture as the tennis legend is ready to enter the entertainment industry with her own Multimedia Production House. King retweeted a tweet from the Just Women’s Sports Twitter account that discussed the new Multimedia Production company and how it has already started its work on several productions even before it was launched to the public.

Along with that, she wrote, “Cheers to @serenawilliams on the launch of 926 Productions. The mission of her multimedia production company is to amplify women and diverse storytellers who also speak to a broader audience.”

Moreover,  the multimedia production house will get its first look TV deal with Amazon Studios. The 926 productions will seek to promote the voices of women and people of color.

Venus Williams and her younger sister will assume new roles as executive producers under the same production for a unique project. It will be a sports documentary that is titled, “COPA 71.”
