After a season-long maternity break, the 4-time singles Grand Slam champion is returning to on-court action in Australia. However, before her much-awaited return to the tour, a bold prediction about the Japanese tennis player has recently infuriated a flurry of fans.
Speaking about Naomi Osaka’s comeback, former WTA player Barbara Schett asserted that the top-ranked players on the women’s tour do not want to play against somebody like Osaka. However, Schett’s statements didn’t sit well with a plethora of fans, who brutally trolled her on social media.

Meanwhile, the Austrian tennis veteran also issued her candid take on how top-ranked players, including Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Świątek, do not want to play against somebody like Osaka. She said, “A Swiatek and Sabalenka or Rybakina, does not want to play against somebody like Osaka.”
