Think about a qualifier winning a Grand Slam title, and the odds will be completely against you. However, 20-year-old Emma Raducanu sprung a surprise for the ages at the 2021 US Open. Entering the tournament as a qualifier, the British tennis beauty put on solid performances one after the other to clinch the biggest victory of her career. She defeated Canada’s Leylah Fernandez to win her maiden Grand Slam title. Additionally, she did so without dropping a set during the tournament.

Fast forward now, the 20-year-old has failed to replicate her US Open victory. She hasn’t made it past the second round at Grand Slams since 2022. Additionally, this year has been an injury-laden year for her. Recently, she provided a glimmer of hope to her fans.
