Tennis fans are anxiously expecting Venus Williams’ return to the court. But at this point, their main priority is seeing that she recovers from the hamstring injury. With the support of her fans by her side and her innate confidence, the 42-year-old tennis pro is working hard in rehab to recover from her injuries.

Earlier this year, the seven-time Grand Slam champion was all set to play the Australian Open as a wildcard. However, she faced an unfortunate injury while playing a WTA tournament in Auckland.

Fans emotionally react to Venus Williams’ hamstring recovery

The former world number one recently took to her own YouTube channel to share a video of her recovery journey. In that video, she discussed her daily regimen and her close friend Karrie Books, who has always supported her during her treatment.

After listening to the 7-time Grand Slam champion, her fans were quite happy to see her working hard to get back to the tennis court as soon as possible. They flooded the comment section with their emotional and positive messages for her.

However, in one of her older videos, she also shared that she was overwhelmed by the same injury. But along with that, she had multiple mixed questions going on in her mind.

Williams’ injury overwhelmed her

Just after the injury, through her own YouTube channel, she revealed that “To be honest, I was super overwhelmed by the injury. I’ve been injured a long time now and I couldn’t believe I had to go back to rehab.”

She also shared that by the time she started seeing her doctors and started working on the injury, she was quite unsure about what was next for her. Thus, she is taking her recovery journey slowly this time to get back on the tennis court in her best shape.
