It’s like a dream come true to play doubles with Venus or Serena Williams. They both make up one of the most potent double pairs, capable of doing the unthinkable when they play tennis together. However, one tennis player was extremely fortunate to be given the once-in-a-lifetime chance to play doubles with the 41-year-old legendary tennis player.
When the Tunisian player partnered with the 23-time Slam champion, for the 2022 Rothesay International in Eastbourne, the entire battle and even fantastic banter between the tennis players was displayed in the second part of the Netflix docuseries. Not only played together, but Williams also engaged in some amusing conversation with her doubles partner Ons Jabeur as well.

The Netflix tennis docuseries BreakPoint recently shared an insider glimpse of what partnering with the former WTA queen looks like. In the second episode, “Saints and Sinners,” the return of Williams to the Rothesay International was displayed. But this time she didn’t make a comeback with Venus but instead chose the Tunisian tennis player, to play doubles with. During their shower-lived partnership, they had a great time together.
And while they were working out together, the 28-year-old tennis star invited the former world number one to visit Tunisia. She said, “Serena you have to come to Tunisia. I already invited Venus. She told me she loved traveling.” Well, as she has interacted more with the seven-time Grand Slam champion than Serena, she has already invited the eldest Williams to her home country. To which the 23-time Grand Slam champion shot back with a candid question regarding her visit to the African country. Williams replied, “Be careful, because I’m gonna take you up on that. You gonna show me a good time?”

Moreover, the former world number 2 gave a very clear answer, saying “Yes.” Listening to that, the 41-year-old tennis legend joked about spending the rest of her life there. “We’re gonna come. We’re gonna live our lives,” she added.
Last year, even before playing the Doubles match, Jabeur talked about her excitement about getting an opportunity to play with the legendary tennis player.

Jabeur overwhelmed to play doubles alongside Williams
The former world number two spoke candidly about her excitement to play doubles with the 41-year-old tennis star last year. Following the announcement of her partnership, she expressed her delight in an interview with Arab News. She also remarked that when presented with an opportunity like this. Just like any other tennis player, she immediately answered yes without giving it a second thought.
Additionally, she discussed how she was chosen from among hundreds of tennis players to play a Doubles match with Williams in the same Netflix tennis docuseries. She also referred to the moment as crazy, as she never anticipated that the 41-year-old would pick a Tunisian girl.
