Chris Evert, the American tennis legend, experienced many highs and lows throughout her life. Despite almost accomplishing it all on the tennis court, the 67-year-old still struggled in her personal life. Since her introduction to social media, she has been open about her personal life with her fans. This particular quality of hers was on show recently as she agreed to a very personal take of a fan.

Evert has been married to several notable figures, including Jimmy Connors, John Lloyd, Andy Mill, and Greg Norman.

After reading about Petra Kvitova announcing her engagement earlier today, a fan took a cheeky dig at the 18-time Grand Slam champion. He tweeted that Evert should not get any ideas about marrying another athlete.

Evert took to twitter to respond to a fan’s tweet in which she said, “You got that right..” It seems as if the ‘Ice Maiden’ is done with marrying athletes after her string of failed relationships in the past.

The champion player, however, remained strong in each of those scenarios. Evert is currently single but is enjoying her role as one of the best tennis commentators in the world today.

Evert’s married life

Despite enjoying a legendary career, Evert’s personal life, however, was anything but smooth. She experienced some difficult times, in contrast to her extremely successful professional career.

Evert was romantically involved with the retired British tennis player John Lloyd. The two tied the knot in 1979 and we’re in a committed relationship for several years before calling it quits in 1987. After that, in 1988, the 18-time Grand Slam champion married Alpine ski racer, Andy Mill.

Alexander, Nicholas, and Colton are the couple’s three sons, and it was her longest marriage. She and Mill divorced after 19 years of marriage. Greg Norman was the next athlete to be romantically involved with Evert. The couple later tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in 2008. However, only 18 months after getting married, the couple separated and filed for divorce.
