Mouratoglou’s explanation

A few hours after the controversy went viral, Mouratoglou decided to address the same. He said that this is a simple case of bad translation. He admits that he did not remake Serena, but he made her think like herself again.

As the renowned French coach mentioned, after her loss against Roberta Vinci, Serena was probably at her lowest moment in her career. She could not think like herself. However, he motivated her to get back on track, to win Wimbledon. And she did. Mouratoglou’s face beams with pride as he talks about this in the interview.
