The young tennis stars, Coco Gauff and Leylah Annie Fernandez were recently featured in an interview during Halloween. Meanwhile, they talked about the scariest or spookiest things about tennis. The American tennis star took a while to think about the answer as she stated, “Well, I don’t know what’s the scariest or spookiest thing about tennis. Let’s see…”

However, Gauff later came up with an answer and she further pointed it out to her compatriot and tennis player, Jack Sock. Gauff went on to say, “I would say well probably Jack Socks’ forehand.” Later on, the Canadian tennis star also talked about her opinion about the scariest thing. Fernandez stated, “the scariest thing is when you don’t know your opponent.”

She further talked about facing her opponents during the WTA tour. Fernandez went on to say, “there’s surprise two or three that gets in the draw we don’t know there’s no video clips. That’s always scary to get in the match not knowing your opponent.”
Fernandez and Gauff’s performance as a team in the BNP Paribas Open
The American tennis prodigy previously teamed up with Fernandez for the doubles event of the BNP Paribas Open. Fans were amused to see one of the most exciting team-up of the women’s doubles events. The pair performed brilliantly as they defeated the doubles team of Renata Voráčová and Irina-Camelia Begu, in the first round of the tournament.

The young tennis stars, Fernandez and Gauff, later on, knocked out the pair of Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Demi Schuurs, in the round of 16 of the event. However, despite their brilliant performances, Fernandez and Gauff were knocked out of the competition by another exciting team-up of Elise Mertens and Hsieh Su-Wei. The duo of Mertens and Su-Wei later went on to win the BNP Paribas Open.
