Karolina Muchova secured a seemingly impressive win in the French Open semi-finals. She took everyone by surprise by making a sensational comeback in the third set from 2-5 down to seal her thumping win. Going against the advice of some doctors who asked her to quit tennis because of her injury woes, Muchova took it as a challenge to come back to the tennis court. And low and behold, she is now reaping the fruits of her labor as she secured her place in the Roland Garros finals.

This semi-final was a match full of twists and turns and in the end, it was Muchova who emerged as the victor. Her opponent Arya Sabalenka was the overwhelming favorite going into the match but Muchova, with her impressive resolve, pulled off a massive upset shattering Sabalenka’s hopes of reaching a 2nd consecutive major final.

Now, she seems to be undeterred by anything that would prevent her from keeping her hands off the French Open trophy. Sometimes one’s rock-solid will turn the tide quite miraculously and Muchova has done exactly that.

In the post-match press conference at the French Open semifinals, She said, “Some doctors told me, you know, maybe you’ll not do sport anymore. But I always kept it kind of positive in my mind and tried to work and do all the exercises to be able to come back”.
