A new chapter begins for both the Buffalo Bills and Stefon Diggs. The team recently agreed to trade four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver to the Houston Texans for the 2025 second-round draft pick. Bills had acquired the services of this 30YO American in a trade with the Vikings in 2020 as part of a package that included a 2020 first-round pick that turned into Justin Jefferson. So, after spending four successful seasons with the Buffalo Bills his journey comes to an end. How did the heiress of the Buffalo Bills, Jessica Pegula react to this big trade?

Jessica Pegula is currently off to a flier at the Credit One Charleston Open. She came to the Tennis Channel Desk after her emphatic victory over Magda Linette in the R16. During the interview, she was asked to reflect on her thoughts on Stefon Diggs moving to the ‘Stallions’.

Pegula nervously said, “I know big news, big news. I don’t know I’m not going to say much but yeah I know it was a big topic. With yeah obviously but I don’t know I guess we’ll see how it works out.” She further went on to add that, “I don’t want to say anything. I don’t want to get in trouble.

The Stefon Diggs trade marks a turning point in a “toxic relationship”, as reported by CBS Sports, between the star wide receiver and the Bills organization.

Last month, Diggs fueled speculation with a cryptic social media post hinting at a desire for change, and his comments at the Pro Bowl further clouded his future in Buffalo. “I can’t tell you what the future holds, but I’m still being me.”

Diggs’ production dipped in the later stages of the 2023 season, suggesting a potential decline in chemistry with quarterback Josh Allen.

On the other hand, Jessica Pegula has put Buffalo on the maps of the tennis world ever since her meteoric rise on the bigger stages of the game in 2021. With her enormous success in the racket sport, she has now managed to build the bridge between the two sports. She loves to see Buffalo Bills fans coming up to the stadium and supporting her during her tennis matches.

“It’s been really cool” – Jessica Pegula on the love she gets from non-tennis fans during her tennis matches

Last year in Cancun during the WTA Finals, she gave an interview where she said,It’s cool to see, like, when I get messages or I see fans and they’re not really tennis fans. But they become tennis fans with as their huge Bills fans or Sabres fans or whatever it is. Or they somehow have a connection back to Buffalo where I’m from.

The American tennis star further added, “That’s really, I mean, it’s really cool. Because we’re not a tennis town, and it’s not very popular there.” She is often seen attending Buffalo Bills’ practice sessions, talking to the players and encouraging them ahead of their crucial matches.
