Selling Tampa is a branch of a Netflix series Selling Sunset that follows the lives of real-life brokers and how they manage to sell real estate to their high-income clients. So, when she saw Selling Sunset, she thought of making this series happen for herself and her fellow all-black, all-female group of real estate brokers too.

This got her sliding into the DMs of the executive producer of the series Adam DiVello. And to her surprise, she was able to sell the idea to him and he even gave them a spin-off series.
