There is a deep connection between the popular NFL team, the Buffalo Bills, and tennis. It’s none other than Jessica Pegula, who herself is a tennis player but at the same time is an heir to the NFL team. As the 30-year-old tennis player is currently in Miami, playing the Miami Open, she recently narrated the experience of sitting at the Hard Rock stadium as a Bills supporter.

Jessica Pegula’s amusing experience attending a Bills game in Miami

After reaching the third round of the Miami Open, in an interview with Tennis Channel, she opened up about how she has been to Miami as a Bills supporter from time to time. Not only that, but she also detailed how it’s not easy for the team supporters to sit in the Hard Rock Stadium, by stating a humorous expression regarding how they have a serious connection with the sun.

She stated, “I’ve been here a few times for Bills games where we sit like literally on the sideline here and usually the roof it angles the sun right on the away team. So you’re just baking in this side, and you know all everyone’s from Buffalo they’re just dying in the sun. It’s pretty funny.”

The fourth-ranked tennis player clearly highlighted how the sideline where the Bills’ supporters sit, is directly under the sun, and they feel like, they are getting baked like cookies with the strong heat of the sun. Not only that she also dwelled on how it’s so funny the way they are seated in the stadium.

Along with that, she also highlighted how the Miami Dolphins, over time, have turned out to be good and tough players on the NFL circuit. Nevertheless, last year, she also opened up about bringing both sports fans together.

Pegula draws a connection between tennis and the NFL

Just a few months ago, after the WTA Finals, she opened up about putting Bills’ name on the tennis map with her as she found her rise on the court. She stated, “It’s cool to see how I’ve been able to connect that fan base. And even though they don’t know tennis that well, it’s cool because they get to watch me and they’re learning, and it’s always nice when you can connect to a city or a fan base like that.”

Further, she claimed that the Bills fans support her and watch her play tennis every now and then. Along with that, she also highlighted how, in terms of tennis, she has nothing much in common with them, but on the NFL front, there are a lot of similar interests.
