Sports fans are brutal when it comes to standing up for their favorites. Reporters and journalists are often the targets of fans if they give harsh opinions about their favorite players. Moreover, the audience on social media is always primed and ready to make fun of any mistakes that they might pick up on. A blunder does not escape the eyes of hardcore sports fans.
Similarly, in one such incident, users on Twitter mocked Chuck Ross, a reporter at ‘The Washington Free Beacon’, for mixing up Serena Williams and Venus Williams while providing a hot take about the Super Bowl half-time show.

Venus Williams or Serena Williams?
The recent Super Bowl has made headlines for several reasons. Some are talking about the players, some about the match, and there is a slew of people who are talking about Rihanna’s performance at the half-time show. After seven years of absence from live events, her fans were ecstatic at the prospect of watching her on stage again.
Chuck Ross, however, did not feel that her performance was up to mark and tweeted what he thought. “Venus Williams won a major while pregnant, so Rihanna has no excuse for this abominable performance,” the commentator opined. Other fans felt the same about the singer’s performance.
Riri fans weren’t far behind in making sure Ross knew about the blunder and made jokes at his expense.

A user met him halfway. They felt that the show was not bad, just boring compared to the previous year’s half-time show.
i wouldnt call it a bad performance. She did fine for what was set up for her, but it was just boring. Super dull after last years AWESOME show. Why they would do it like this and not have an ensemble every year is beyond me.

One user was not aware of Rihanna’s pregnancy for a hilarious reason.
