Back in March this year, Alexis Ohanian captured hearts when he shared a series of joyful snapshots and a short video from Chelsea Women FC’s victorious ‘Subway Women’s League Cup’ celebration on IG. After 3 years of finishing as runners-up, the Blues finally clinched the title with a 2-1 win over Manchester City. But the real scene-stealer? His daughter, Adira, was beaming with joy as she sprinted toward her father. “Saturday morning football and family! @adiraohanian is running FAST these days,” he captioned. Now, just two months later, the Blues are domestic treble winners, and Ohanian, in a new role, as an investor, was right there in the stands, taking all the joy he could as the family will never go to forget the moment.
The Blues triumphed over the Red side of Manchester with a commanding 3-0 win, courtesy of two goals from Sandy Baltimore and one from Catarina Macario. With this FA Cup victory, the Women’s side completed a sensational domestic treble, having already secured the Women’s Super League (WSL) and the Women’s League Cup in the 2024–25 season. This stellar season came under the guidance of their new manager, Sonia Bompastor. And, of course, we have Alexis Ohanian from the ground to share the latest glory of the Blues.
Just hours after the win, Alexis Ohanian took to IG to share his pride and joy. He posted a heartfelt message: “💙 A day our family will never forget. Thank you, @chelseafcw — congrats on the treble 🏆🏆🏆 — and so begins this Unapologetically Ambitious era!! 😤”. The post featured a carousel of images beginning with a striking shot of Alexis, the tennis icon Serena Williams, and their daughter Olympia holding a Chelsea jersey with “Alexis” and the number 25. Other photos showed the family seated in the Wembley stands, Serena taking a selfie, and the team celebrating their victory. The final two images were particularly heartwarming, Olympia posing on the field and little Adira sporting her own jersey with number 25.

Chelsea FC Women also acknowledged the family’s presence on social media. Their IG page shared a snap of Alexis and Serena in the stands, captioned, “Great to have you with us, @AlexisOhanian and @SerenaWilliams! 💙” to which Ohanian responded enthusiastically in the comments: “amazing work by the ladies on the pitch today!! Clinical”.
Ohanian’s IG stories gave fans an inside look at the match-day experience as well. The first story showed Olympia with freshly painted nails, captioned “Matchday” and tagged to Chelsea FC Women. The 2nd featured Adira proudly wearing her jersey. In the third, Ohanian shared his post, writing: “MATCH DAY. 💙 @chelseafcw I got my girls READY. Also managed to take them to tea yesterday. 🇬🇧🫖”. The next story was a cheerful family selfie, followed by a video of the team’s victorious moment with the caption: “@chelseafcw secure the treble!!! Amazing work ladies” with three trophy emojis.
The celebrations continued with scenes from Wembley, where the 7-year-old was captured enjoying the festivities. Ohanian also reposted Chelsea’s announcement post, “CHELSEA ARE YOUR 2025 FA CUP WINNERS! 🏆”, followed by a photo of Serena and Alexis holding the FA Cup. He also shared a brief clip of the team’s euphoric on-field celebration and ended his stories with another club post stating, “THE FA CUP IS OURS AGAIN!!! 🏆”.
And amid the victory celebrations, Ohanian also revealed his deeper motivations behind investing in Chelsea Women. The 42-year-old’s commitment to women’s football and creating unforgettable moments for his family all came together on this historic day for the Blues!

“Chelsea is very unique,” Alexis Ohanian shares his feelings after the Blues gets the glory at Wembley
Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian made headlines on May 14 after investing approximately $26.5 million for an estimated 8–10% stake in Chelsea Women. Renowned for backing sports ventures with a special emphasis on women’s athletics, Ohanian’s portfolio includes a significant share in Angel City FC, an American football club.
He’s also the founder of Athlos, a dedicated platform for emerging female athletes to compete and gain visibility. Just after Chelsea’s triumphant FA Cup win at Wembley, the entrepreneur couldn’t hide his excitement as he shared his future plans for the club’s women’s side.
In an interview with BBC Sport, Alexis expressed his admiration for the club’s stature in global football. “Chelsea is very unique. These are the queens of global soccer, and they’ve got the trophy case to prove it. This is a very special club. The sky is the limit,” he added. Doubling down on his passion, he also gasped, “You heard our president say this club is unapologetically ambitious – I want to get that tattooed on me,” clearly showcasing his emotional investment in Chelsea’s journey.
