In a thrilling matchup, Portugal faced a 1-0 defeat against Morocco at the Al Thumama Stadium.

The towering header from Youssef En-Nesyri gave Morocco a crucial lead that was enough for their victory against Portugal. In doing so, Morocco became the first African nation to reach the semifinals of the FIFA World Cup. However, the Portuguese soccer legend was still in the limelight because of the recent criticism of his performances. Additionally, Ronaldo was overwhelmed with emotions as he might have played his farewell FIFA World Cup match.
