Serena Williams‘ husband, Alexis Ohanian, has risen to prominence among well-known American businessmen in recent years. With his investments and support for young talent, he is also becoming a favorite in the pro-sport world as an investor. He started supporting women’s soccer a few years ago with his investment in the NWSL team, Angel City FC, in an effort to increase the sport’s recognition. Now that the cofounder of Reddit is expecting a new child to pamper, he received a heartwarming gift from the stars of the sport he has invested his time and money in.

In order to express their happiness at the impending addition to the family, the US women’s soccer team gave a wonderful family gift to the 40-year-old American entrepreneur. Ohanian took to his Instagram stories to share a picture of the beautiful gift. In that picture, there were four team jerseys for every family member, including Williams, Ohanian, and Olympia.

Not only that, apart from the specially crafted jerseys, there was also a little blue jersey for the unborn baby. It had the soccer team’s logo on the front, displaying how they were ready to welcome one more soccer fan into the clan. With that, he wrote, “Soon!” and tagged the official Instagram page of the soccer team.

Well, the women’s football team and the Reddit co-founder have a history. This is the same team that inspired the millionaire entrepreneur to invest in a $100 million worth soccer team.

He revealed that during the 2019 World Cup, his 5-year-old daughter was excitedly running around in an Alex Morgan jersey. Although he expressed his wish to see her play for the team in the future, the pay disparity between genders that currently exist in soccer was pointed out by none other than Serena. This made him take a huge investment step into the pro-sport world and make a difference. After the Reddit co-founder’s investment, the club joined the National Women’s Soccer League in 2022.
