Alex Morgan recently became the star of the show as the San Diego Wave won the National Women’s Soccer League Challenge Cup in style. The 34-year-old soccer star, who started the second half as a substitute, scored an 88th-minute match-winner to give her team a 1-0 victory over Gotham FC on Friday night. Morgan’s stellar performances have now earned the plaudits of Serena Williams‘ husband, Alexis Ohanian.
Morgan was previously announced as an investor in Los Angeles Golf Club (LAGC), playing in the TGL launched by Tiger Woods and Rory Mcllroy. The golf team is led by an ownership group of entrepreneurs, including Ohanian, Serena, and Venus Williams. While cheekily promoting his TGL club, the American entrepreneur recently came forward to give a huge shout-out to the NWSL star on social media.
The official streaming platform, Prime Video, was recently singing the praises of ‘game-winner’ Alex Morgan in their latest social media post. It stated, “Alex Morgan. Game-Winner.” While retweeting the post, Alexis Ohanian hailed the soccer player for coming up ‘big’ in the championship game. He said, “Our@wearelagc investor coming up big on the big stage!
