Shriver happens to be the sister of Maria Shriver, who was Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ex-wife. In 1998, Shriver married Joe Shapiro after ending her playing career. She once opened up about why she married Joe despite his battle against cancer.

Shriver criticizes US Open

Recently, the American tennis legend criticized the US Open for coming out harshly against a fan who highlighted their mistake on the tournament’s social media page. She said, “Hey Andrew has become a twitter space pal and very knowledgeable about tennis. I thought your response to his correction was not cool. We need to treat all fans of tennis with respect.”

Nonetheless, it proved to be a memorable tournament for youngsters. World Number 1, Iga Swiatek consolidated her ranking by lifting her maiden US Open title. Meanwhile, in the men’s singles, Carlos Alcaraz became the new World Number 1 following his successful US Open campaign.
