Coco Gauff is ready to accept the ‘scary’ and focus on ‘learning’ as she is about to end the teenage phase of her life. In her latest interview, she shared a glimpse of her thoughts on embracing adulthood and stepping into this new journey of life.

Born in 2004, the American professional tennis player turns 20 in March. Throughout her teenage years, she has climbed the ladder of success by showcasing her phenomenal performance on court. For a variety of reasons that fuel her excitement for this new phase of life, Coco Guff welcomes the prospect of adulthood and shares her insights on the matter.

Coco Gauff looks forward to getting her ‘own place’

While talking about her new journey into adulthood on a podcast, Coco Gauff spoke about her excitement to buy her own house. Gauff spoke about her fear mixed with an anticipation of excitement that she feels towards moving into her new house. Interestingly, even though adulthood comes with an added element of freedom, drinking is not on Gauff’s pros of adulthood list.

In ‘The AO Show Weekly’ podcast, Gauff said, “Eventually moving out to my own place. Yeah, that’s the only the only thing I mean everything else I feel like I’m,. I don’t really drink so I don’t think I’m looking forward to turning 21 because of that.Yeah, just moving out getting my own place and trying to be an adult. It’s a little bit scary, but I hopefully I’ll be alright.”

Coco Gauff has previously talked about how she is enjoying the learning process of how to be an adult and spoke about the myriad of things that she wishes to learn as she moves forward in life. “Adulthood is something I’m really enjoying learning. I’m not completely there, but every year I think I’m getting better and better at it,” she said in one interview.

She was only 15 years old when she defeated Venus Williams at Wimbledon in 2019 and garnered a lot of attention for her talent. Her maturity, willpower, and skill on and off the court have helped her earn early success in her career.

While discussing her success at Wimbledon, she stated in an interview, “Overall, this stage of my life, it was obviously a successful time.” The accomplishments that Coco Gauff has made throughout her teenage years are but a hint of what she is capable of when she enters her adult years and makes much more progress in the next decade of her life.
