The Danish tennis superstar Caroline Wozniacki will say her goodbyes to the tennis world with a farewell match. The match will be played in Copenhagen against her good friend, Angelique Kerber. She notified her followers about her farewell match in a video posted on her Twitter account. Caroline Wozniacki has won one Grand Slam title at Australian Open 2018. She announced her retirement in January 2020.

The former Australian Open winner was supposed to play against Serena Williams in her farewell match. But owing to the pandemic, the match is now rescheduled and she’ll face Angelique Kerber, a good friend of Wozniacki. Kerber is a three time Grand Slam winner. Wozniacki certainly looks excited as she took her Twitter account to share the details of the match.

The match has been scheduled on 9th February, 2022 at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen. Surely, thousands of fans would attend and watch this amazing tennis star play for once last time.

Her last professional tennis match

Caroline Wozniacki player her last official match at Australian Open 2020. The former Australian Open champion went passed the first two rounds handsomely in straight sets. In the third round, Ons Jabeur of Tunisia beat the former World No.1 to end her run. The final score recorded was 6-0, 6-1. Following the loss, Caroline Wozniacki announced her retirement from professional tennis on 24th January, 2020.

Wozniacki has had a pretty impressive professional career. She has won 30 singles titles at the WTA tour. Her highlight of the career was in the year 2018, when she triumphed at the Australian Open and claimed her first major grand slam. Moreover, she has been the World No.1 player for a total of 71 weeks.
