Coming off an explosive, instant-classic battle at WrestleMania’s biggest stage, you’d expect some salty feelings between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. After all, they’d just been through a hellacious war alongside their merciless opponents, Roman Reigns and The Rock. But in the aftermath, Rollins showed why he’s truly a visionary leader.

With sweat and pride still drenching their bodies, the drained Rollins pulled Rhodes aside and uttered four simple words that did not reach the television screen but were posted on X by WWE on TNT Sports: “It’s your time now baby.” At that moment, any remaining animosity washed away as the ultimate sign of respect.

Rhodes and Rollins fought valiantly but ultimately tasted defeat against Reigns and The Jabroni-beating, pie-eating, trailblazing, Brahma Bull himself, The Rock. Their monumental clash capped off Night One of WrestleMania XL in front of a rapturous Philly crowd.

Despite Rhodes hitting two Consecutive Cross Rhodes on Reigns, The Rock’s timely interference sealed their fate. Planting Rhodes with the People’s Elbow, The Great One lived up to his name as he and The Tribal Chief emerged victorious in the evening’s grueling main event.

But WrestleMania 40 was about more than just one match. The two-night extravaganza kicked off epically with Cody making his long-awaited entrance to the iconic “Smoke and Mirrors” theme. From there, it was non-stop pandemonium, with The Undertaker returning to chokeslam The Rock into darkness.

With their brutal tag team loss still fresh, all eyes turned to Night Two’s headliner: Cody’s Universal Title clash with Roman Reigns under “Bloodline Rules.” An already insane match reached Atomic levels as legends like Cena, Rollins, and even Jey Uso got involved in the mayhem.

In the end, Cody finally finished the story his legendary father, Dusty, began decades ago. Overcoming interference from The Bloodline, he dropped Reigns with not one, not two, but three Cross Rhodes to become the new Undisputed Universal Champion.
