“Best Mom”: Despite Getting Publicly Insulted By Her Son, AEW Star’s Mother Continues to Win Hearts

AEW presented its Full Gear pay-per-view on November 19 from Prudential Center, New Jersey. They stacked the match card with some top tier matches featuring the very best of AEW talent. There was a lot to look forward to on the night, including the return of the Elite after their suspension. One of the hotly anticipated matches was the main event between Jon Moxley and MJF for the AEW World title.

MJF earned his title shot after returning to AEW to win the Casino Ladder Match at the All Out PPV. The main event was a special moment for MJF even more so because his mother was in attendance. She has often hilariously poked fun at her son on various occasions.

This was again the case at AEW Full Gear as she interacted with the crowd, holding a sign mocking MJF as the crowd chanted his son’s name.

Fans react warmly to MJF’s mother in attendance at AEW Full Gear

MJF is one of the most talented stars in pro wrestling right now and his heel character has impressed fans. He lives and breathes his gimmick so much so that he rarely breaks it off-screen. A testament to his genuine portrayal of the bad guy is that he even brutally insulted his own parents publicly for criticizing him.

Last year during an interview with Josh Shernoff, The Salt of the Earth called his mother ‘dumb and disgusting’ after his parents held a sign during AEW Rampage that read, “We’re MJF’s parents and we think he sucks too!” The banter between MJF and his parents has, to an extent, become a part of his whole schtick and fans love to see it at times. In fact, his mother was in attendance during AEW Full Gear and interacted with the crowd.

This time she came with another witty and hilarious sign poking fun at her son. It showed a much younger MJF holding a mic and written alongside was ‘MJF’: old mic, same f*****g attitude! After her interaction with the crowd holding her sign went viral, fans warmed up to her and shared their thoughts.

Fans loved MJF’s mother for her actions at Full Gear.

Some fans thought it was cool that even his mother couldn’t stand MJF while others called for the wrestlers to do something about it.

People enjoyed her presence and interaction with the crowd.

Although his mother trolled him again, the night ended in the best way for the Devil Himself. He won the AEW World title pinning Jon Moxley after an assist from William Regal.

The era of MJF is upon AEW and things can only get even more interesting going forward.
