Newsroom Editor
Sherjeel Malik is a Newsroom Editor at EssentiallySports. His understanding of the metrics has allowed him to get a grip on reader behavior across a handful of sports. This led to one of his big wins when a bodybuilding copy saw a 21-second increase in session duration post his edits. Another one came when The Bloodline’s Wiseman Paul Heyman shared one of his copies on Instagram. As part of the NR, he also relays feedback to editors from different divisions to aid their process.
During his editorial role in the WWE division he introduced PLE specific phrase banks to help the writers cover valuable information around the event. Under his mentorship, quite a few writers have taken up other important roles at ES.
