Throughout his career, Matt Hardy has been a daredevil. The former WWE Superstar has performed feats in the ring that are alien to human biology.

However, even the best of their trade commit mistakes. Unfortunately, when you have a wrestling style like Hardy, any mistake can prove to be fatal.

Tonight at AEW All Out, we witnessed a small example of how dangerous professional wrestling can be. In the match-up between Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara, a spot almost cost Hardy his life.

Hardy and Guevara faced each other in a ‘Broken Rules’ match. As the name concedes, the match was extreme from the get-go. During one of the sequences, Hardy and Guevara were standing on a scissors lift.

The plan was to create a crash landing on the table down below. However, tonight was not the night for the two talented men. As Hardy prepared for the side effect, Guevara dodged and instead launched him down on to the table.

However, the two men landed too far than where they were supposed to. As a result, Hardy’s head faced a rough landing on the concrete floor. Any seasoned professional wrestling viewer could tell that Hardy was legit hurt.

Referee Aubrey Edwards made the X sign, confirming our suspicions. Hardy could hardly gather his senses to walk. However, a medical professional decided he could continue (Or Hardy insisted he will compete).

Somehow, Hardy completed the match with a victory for himself. It seems like Hardy thought he had to finish the match because of the stipulation. He had declared that he would quit AEW if he loses.

However, there were many explanations that the creative could have come up with. Risking the life of talent is never an option.
