AEW fans witnessed an emotional moment on the recent episode of Dynamite (April 12) as Jeff Hardy turned back the clock to perform the exact same feats he did during his debut in Tony Khan’s promotion. The 45-year-old wrestler who made his comeback to wrestling after nearly a year left fans emotional with his unexpected return.

The former WWE Champion entered the arena with a customized steel chair and attacked members of The Firm to save his brother Matt Hardy and his teammates- Isaiah Kassidy, and Hook.

The Rainbow-Haired Warrior slammed Ethan Page with a chair, sent Big Bill flying over the top rope, and then hit Lee Moriarty with the Swanton Bomb to repel the heel faction.

What followed was an emotional reunion as Jeff hugged his brother Matt Hardy and the other babyfaces before showing his gratitude towards the fans. Jeff made his AEW debut on 9 March 2022. In his first gig, he had saved his brother from an attack by Andrade El Idolo, Private Party, The Butcher, and The Blade.

Meanwhile, some fans were happy with the 3x WWE World Champion’s return to the ring. This fan tweeted he’s glad that Jeff Hardy is finally back.

Another hailed him as the legend of the game.

The AEW indefinitely suspended Hardy without pay after his shocking DUI arrest in June last year. The 6x World Champion has had issues with addiction in the past.

Some fans hoped the 45-year-old would stay healthy, now that he is back to wrestling.

However, the return did not go down well with everyone.

Meanwhile, Hardy’s return was kept a secret by another AEW star.

Did Matt Hardy knowingly misdirect fans about Jeff Hardy’s AEW return?

The senior member of the Hardy Boyz, Matt Hardy had said his brother would come back to the ring after “six to eight weeks” a few days ago.

Hardy made the claim while appearing on Isiah Kassidy’s YouTube vlog. He also said that Kassidy would partner with him as they look to win the AEW World Tag Team Titles.

Now it seems that the information about Jeff Hardy’s return was purposely kept hidden by his elder brother. Whatever the case, it is always good to see a wrestler come back to the ring and perform in front of fans.

For Jeff Hardy though, fans would hope he steers clear of any trouble and remains healthy.
