“Put the C*** Down”: Tony Khan Mocked Online After Questionable ‘Sold Out’ Claim for AEW Dynamite in Toronto

One thing about Tony Khan that every fan will agree with is that his social media presence is not the best it can be. Spend a couple of hours browsing through his X (Twitter) page and you will find a tweet coupled with a fan reaction that will either make you laugh or scratch your head. The most famous of these tweets were his attack on WWE star, Jinder Mahal. But this time, he landed in trouble just for celebrating an achievement related to the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite.

How did Tony Khan ‘claim’ a sold-out stadium?

The President of AEW took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce a big achievement for the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite. He wrote that tonight’s show will be officially sold out as there are just a few tickets remaining. Khan wrote,With very few tickets remaining, TONIGHT will be a SOLD OUT crowd with some of the planet’s loudest, most passionate wrestling fans LIVE in Toronto.”

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite will be held at the Coca Cola Coliseum in Toronto, Canada. This episode will handle the fallout of the Big Business PPV. While it will not be as grand as the PPV, there are a few big things on the card. First thing first, Adam Copeland a.k.a Edge will be facing his old enemy, Christian Cage in an I Quit match for the TNT Championship.

Apart from that, tonight will be Kazuchika Okada’s debut AEW fight against Eddie Kingston for the AEW Continental Championship title. Also, fans might get to hear more from Mercedes Mone a.k.a Sasha Banks tonight.

Having such a shining deck of match cards might have lured many fans to buy tickets for the show. But it looks like there are a few members of the online wrestling community who believe that Khan’s claims are questionable.

Fans have something to say to Khan

Fans felt that the claim made by Khan was quite bold. This made many ask questions or even dismiss the claim as baseless. One fan commented that Khan should stop using something that might push him to make such claims.

Comments by a couple of fans almost told a story as to how Khan might have sold a huge number of tickets.

One fan claimed that he got two tickets for free. This makes Khan’s claim a bit questionable, though this would be difficult to prove.

One fan stated that if the promotion is celebrating the sale of 5000 tickets, then the promotion might be in pretty bad shape.
