While some fans supported Mercedes Mone‘s AEW debut in March 2024, others did not hold the same reverence for her entry. Since her introduction to the new workplace, the wrestling talent has received a lot of criticism for her mic skills. She is yet to prove herself in the ring at AEW Double or Nothing, but her promo delivery skills have invited the ire of the wrestling faithful.

Mone recently uploaded one of her recent kayfabe interviews on Instagram in collaboration with AEW’s official page. The social media move backfired unlike they could have prepared for. As a result, both Mone and Tony Khan had to take a major step to prevent trolling in the comments.

Fans will watch Sasha Banks wrestle against Willow Nightingale at AEW Double or Nothing 2024 on May 25th for the TBS Championship. There is a chance that she may secure a victory because of how big of a deal her debut was. In an interview on AEW TV regarding the upcoming match, the AEW star delivered her dialogues in a way that fans didn’t develop a liking for. Several mean comments started to roll in. As a result, both Tony Khan’s AEW and Mercedes Mone had to limit the comments on the Instagram reel as collaborators on the post.

With this feature on, fans wouldn’t be able to comment anymore. This was a big step because it would hinder the public reach for both of the accounts.
