Wrestling fans are still trying to accept the fact that CM Punk has been fired from AEW. Nearly three months after he made his return to AEW programming, he got fired as a result of a backstage altercation involving him and Jack Perry. Now a WWE Hall Of Famer has come out in support of Punk and as feels that Perry shouldn’t have instigated Punk in AEW’s ‘All In’ buy-in show.

‘Road Dogg’ Brian James says Jack Perry has “small ball mentality”

Just to bring you guys up to speed, a few weeks ago, CM Punk and Jack Perry were supposed to be involved in a backstage segment. During the match, he pointed to the car involved in the match and said, “You know what this is right here? real glass! go cry me a river.” This was a direct reference to his disagreement with CM Punk a few days ago and Punk got wind of that.

That eventually led to a backstage brawl right before Punk’s title match with Samoa Joe. Hence, WWE Hall of Famer ‘Road Dogg’ Brian James feels that Perry is solely responsible for everything that has happened till now.

On his podcast Oh You Didn’t Know?, he said, “It’s a small ball mentality. Who knew that he told the kid not to use real glass. So it’s the boys, stirring the boys and using the doms of the world to do it. That’s sad, but that’s where we are at in this world today. There is not many people meeting you at the curtain when you say stupid stuff like that.”

He even agreed and sided with Punk in refusing to work with real glass for that backstage segment. James added, “Truth be told, never use real glass. He (CM Punk) was right.”
