“They Disagreed”: Kazuchika Okada Reportedly Snubbed by WWE Superstars in Favour of Ex-AEW Champion as the Best Wrestler Ever

Kazuchika Okada is one of the hottest free agents in pro wrestling. With his contract about to expire, speculation is that he will join AEW. While this is great news for Okada fans, who can see him wrestle the likes of Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, and many more. However, it seems that WWE superstars have snubbed Okada when talking about the best wrestler in pro wrestling. They didn’t pick one of their own; they went with a former AEW star and Champion.

WWE Legends, including Stone Cold Steve Austin, pick Kenny Omega over Kazuchika Okada

While in New Japan Pro Wrestling, Kazuchika Okada made a massive name for himself. While his start was rough, he is currently one of their top stars. He had won the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship twice. His second reign was the longest in history, with 720 days. He was also the IWGP Heavyweight Champion five times.

During his time there, he shared the ring with another known NJPW star who also worked in AEW, Kenny Omega. Omega, just like Okada, is currently the hottest star in pro wrestling. But did you know that many WWE stars and legends consider Omega one of the best pro wrestlers in the world today?

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer posted about Omega on social media. He said, “Most pro wrestlers consider Omega one of the best ever.” He went on to talk about a dinner he had with stars like Bret Hart, Steve Austin, and Kurt Angle. He claimed that even they felt the same.

Meltzer said, “I thought there were arguments for Okada in particular, and they disagreed.” He ended by claiming that the three stars felt that Omega was the best of the current era of pro wrestlers. This seems to be a massive snub for Okada, who has made quite the name for himself in recent years. Nevertheless, it’s undeniable that AEW has got itself a star. There are several potential storylines that Okada could dabble in considering his vast experience and diverse style of wrestling.

It will be interesting to see how AEW lays out the red carpet for the Japanese star once he steps foot in the promotion.
