Pyro in pro wrestling is a major aspect of a wrestler’s character. It adds to the entrance of the wrestler. Whether the blast of Kane or the wall of fire for Goldberg, pyro is a mainstay during a wrestler’s entrance. Right now Cody Rhodes is one star who utilizes pyro as a big part of his entrance. But what happens when Rhodes gets one-upped with a bigger, better pyro by one of the AEW’s superstars?

Pyro worth millions breaks Cody Rhodes’ record

Ricky Starks has been a part of AEW since 2020 and has slowly made a name for himself. His entrance is something that was the talk of the town recently. As Starks posed on the top rope for the fans, his pyro started but did not seem to stop. The top rope pose has already gained him controversy. This was the longest pyro the crowd saw during his entrance, and they loved it. Even the commentators couldn’t help but say that was a ton of pyro. This easily broke Cody Rhodes’s record for the most pyro during an entrance.

Rhodes loves pyro, and his entrance at WrestleMania 39 proves it. Weeks before the event, he kept teasing a record-setting pyro entrance on his part, and then he delivered. During the event, he made his walk down the ramp with the pyro going off as he marched down. It was spectacular. But it may be time for him to move aside as Starks wins the crown for the most pyro, not at a main event. But why the celebratory pyro?

Starks walked to the ring on the July 22 episode of Collision after his win against CM Punk. During the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament finals match, Starks beat Punk to win the annual tournament.

This was not a clean win but a win for Starks, and something that he will tout for a long time. He even had Punk calling him out for cheating to win.

Punk calls out Starks cheating to win as fans left astonished by pyro work for Starks

Post the win for Starks; Punk went on a rampage calling out the star for cheating to win. He asked Starks if he could live with the fact that he couldn’t beat Punk without cheating.

The fans sided with Punk but could not get over Starks insane pyro. This was the major talk on social media.

Many fans loved the fireworks.

While many compared it to Cody Rhodes’ pyro.

While many fans started debating on the cost of such an elaborate Pyro

People pointed out how you can even hear the commentators spill the cost of it
