AEW Superstar Feels Roman Reigns Isn’t Speaking the Truth

Former WWE Wrestler and current member of the AEW roster, Doc Gallows shed light on the difference between the two promotions. He suggested that WWE is willing to cater to the casual fans while All Elite Wrestling is staying loyal to the hardcore fanbase. Moreover, he also addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding Roman Reigns, who shared controversial remarks.
Doc suggested that Roman is not being truthful and is clearly trying to hide the truth. AEW may not be as big as WWE, but the young promotion has struck a different chord with fans.

According to a report by wrestlinginc, Doc Gallows appeared in a podcast with MCW Pro Wrestling, where he spoke about a number of things.

He said, “Who knows because the WWE is the face of what pro wrestling is. They’re always gonna grab the casual fan. I like Roman Reigns, personally, a lot. I was reading an interview where he was basically saying, ‘We’re gonna do it our way. We want the casual fan,’ and I guess on the inside, you can say what you want, but you feel the heat from them, they feel like everyone who doesn’t watch them.”
“We’re just this weird hardcore fanbase, but I think what you’re looking over is the fact the weird hardcore fanbase, all of us, we’re growing larger, and larger and larger. And now, you and I who grew up as fans as a kid, we have an entertainment dollar, and we want to spend it on wrestling. It doesn’t have to be one thing.”

Contrasting attitudes between WWE and AEW is a major defining factor
WWE doesn’t shy from bringing back legends of the business to ward off its competition from harming the ratings. However, AEW’s approach has been totally different, as they carefully insert these grizzled veterans with younger talent. This approach perfectly states that WWE is simply trying to entertain the audience.

Meanwhile, AEW’s team is actively working for the hardcore audience with meaningful storylines and by reigniting the old-school feuds. Therefore, while AEW may not be able to best WWE, but it can definitely become a unique product of its own.
