Tony Khan is notoriously famous for his tweets. The president of AEW has landed himself in trouble quite a few times due to his outright hilarious and sometimes confusing tweets. While most of the time he is either defending himself, calling out someone, or both with his social media posts, this time, he did something different. Ice Cube‘s son and pro wrestling critic O’Shea Jackson Jr. recently caught Khan’s attention. While many might think Jackson Jr might be his next target, turns out Khan showered praise on him.

Tony Khan agrees with Jackson Jr’s comments on WWE

Tony Khan took to X (formerly Twitter) and tweeted @OsheaJacksonJr You know ball.” This could be a compliment by Khan to the Den of Thieves star, as he had recently shared his views on WWE. While his tweets were not targeting WWE with negative criticism, Jackson Jr just shared his views on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw.

Just like fans, this sudden tweet of the AEW head honcho also shocked Jackson Jr. While he first thanked him for the compliment in the comments section, he later tweeted stating he felt that he was “being set up.” He had also mentioned in another tweet that this would be his favorite post by Khan.

Tony Khan had landed in some trouble before due to his negative comments on WWE. However, it looks like this one is just going to leave everyone confused.

On the other hand, Jackson Jr. has always provided constructive criticism due to his love for pro wrestling. This was the main reason why he defended Dwayne Johnson’s daughter, Simone Johnson, a.k.a Ava Raine when fans recently issued threats to her online.

Jackson Jr steps in for Simone Johnson

While social media provides a platform for fans to connect with their favorite star, it can often take a hard left. Something similar happened recently when the world of social media was buzzing with the “We Want Cody” slogans following the news of Dwayne Johnson taking over Cody Rhodes’ WrestleMania spot. Everything was going quite smoothly until a few fans ended up sending death threats to Dwayne Johnson’s daughter and NXT GM, Simone Johnson a.k.a Ava Raine.

While the NXT GM showed her frustration with these threats, Jackson Jr., being a fan of the sport himself, stepped in to have a word with the Internet Wrestling Community (IWC). In the tweet, he mentioned that it is extremely annoying when people drag someone to extreme lengths despite having no role to play in it. And when they object to it, the same people criticize the star for not letting them annoy the star. While the dust has settled, it looks like O’Shea Jackson is gaining more and more credibility in the pro wrestling industry. Would you like to see him on an episode of AEW or WWE in the future?

One take at a time

For me pro wrestling has two things that I like the most, storytelling and fighting. Let?s just say movies are failing to keep me entertained in those departments. I grew up watching WWF and not WWE and any hardcore fan will agree that the two are not the same, but I love both iterations.
