While fans were excited for the release of WWE 2K24 on March 8, 2024, there was one part of the game that gained negative attention. The newly introduced ranking system in the game was a significant part of the promotional material and was highly criticized by the WWE Universe. While fans always complain about part of the game, it was surprising when the commentary team acknowledged the backlash towards the ranking system on tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

Michael Cole calls the ranking system in WWE 2K24 “Controversial”

During the show, Michael Cole discussed the upcoming WWE 2K24 game and added, “The always controversial ratings system by 2K.” This means that the WWE has acknowledged the fans’ backlash towards the system. The pro wrestling community did not like the position of some wrestlers over others that should have been higher. The system ranks all wrestlers on the roster with a score between 0 and 100, and some wrestlers were placed way too high for fans’ liking.
