Notably, a Hollywood actress, thanked The Rock and spoke about her experience of working on a legendary movie after filming a scene in which she choked The Rock.

Vanessa Kirby, who played Vanessa in Hobbs and Shaw, discussed the movie’s well-known choking sequence. For those who don’t know, David Leitch, whose speciality is action movies, directed this movie. This movie had a lot of action similar to the other Fast and Furious films.

Notably, there was a scene in which Kirby used her thighs to choke DJ and her motorbike helmet to assault The Rock. The action sequence was so masterfully executed by Kirby that it became one of the talking points. While discussing the experience of filming the scene with DJ, she said, “My first day with him involved me wrapping my legs around Dwayne’s neck. It was the most intense introduction to a film ever and also to a person never met him once before. But yeah it was so much fun.”

It would undoubtedly be quite awkward to perform the intense fight scene when meeting megastars like Johnson for the first time. Thus, when asked about beating The Rock in the movie, she thanked him in another interview when discussing the same topic. In her words, “I was like, thank you for not hitting me back.”

Considering that Johnson is one of the most famous action movie actors in the world, she indeed stated it in good jest. Aside from being impressed, she also valued her time spent working with DJ on the movie, which racked in about $760 million worldwide.
