The couple took to Twitter where they let the fans know they woke up on 18th October around 9:30 in the morning with a distinct smell of smoke, only to find out that the second story of their apartment was on fire.

“This morning my worst fear was realized. I woke up to the realization that our apartment was on fire. We were able to make it out, our baby girl was saved, everyone is as okay as we can be. Now it is time to rebuild. Like a phoenix, from these ashes we will rise.” Gia wrote.

Gia later shared a GoFundMe link writing that ‘anything is appreciated’. Since having this link, multiple wrestling entities have generously donated the bit to help the couple.

The inaugural AEW World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho generously donated $1500 to the GoFundMe page. Even Impact Wrestling’s EVP Scott D’Amore also donated his bit.

Gia also updated the world via her Twitter about the health of her cat, Selina, who was unlucky and couldn’t get out of the fire in time and was stuck inside the apartment before getting rescued.

“I love these two more than anything in the world. For two hours, we sat clueless to if our baby was okay. Despite flames, smoke, the roof falling in on her, and the hoses drenching her and the fire, she survived. We are still at the vet. But she’s gonna be ok.”
