Ex-WWE Star Slams Company With 4-Word Message After Joining Rival Promotion

WWE released major superstars in the years 2020 and 2021 as part of budget cuts. Every year, WWE lets go of wrestlers but with the pandemic, the past two years’ releases were closely observed.
The releases that happened last year in November saw names of major WWE superstars. Samoa Joe, Keith Lee, Mia Yim, Nia Jax, etc. were some of the superstars who could no longer continue in McMahon’s empire and it came as a shock.

Recently, former WWE star and Retribution member ‘Reckoning’ aka Mia Yim responded to a fan by taking a shot at WWE. On the 7th May 2022 episode of Impact Wrestling Mia Yim made her return to the Nashville Promotion.
A fan posted a video of Mia Yim’s return to Impact Wrestling on Twitter saying, “Moment of the night @MiaYim #IMPACTonAXSTV #Slammiversary”
Mia Yim replied in four words and took a shot at her former company. Her tweet said, “Having fun changes everything.”

Mia Yim’s WWE career started growing downward when she debuted on the main roster as Reckoning as a member of Retribution. They dropped the Reckoning character later and drafted her to RAW in the 2021 Superstar Shake-up.

However, Yim didn’t have a match on RAW after the Superstar Shake-up and had to leave in November of the same year. She married her long-time boyfriend, Keith Lee, early this year in February and made a return to Impact Wrestling after five long years.
Mia Yim’s career prior to WWE
Mia Yim joined WWE in 2018 and appeared on TV various times as one of the Rosebuds of Adam Rose. For the rest of the year 2018, she worked as an enhancement talent on WWE’s third brand, NXT.

Prior to WWE, Yim was signed with Impact Wrestling, previously known as Total Non-Stop Action (TNA). Fans knew her as Jade in her first ring at Impact Wrestling. Also, she was part of the tag team known as The Dollhouse with Marti Bell.

Mia Yim is a onetime Knockout Champion in TNA and has also won the Queen of the Knockouts tournament. Also, alongside Jeff Hardy, Eddie Edwards, Jessie Godderz, and Robbie E, she has won the TNA World Cup as part of Team Hardy defeating Team Bennett.

Who is Mia Yim and Why Did She Join The Retribution?
Mia Yim was a well-established professional wrestler before joining WWE. Apart from TNA and WWE, Yim has wrestled in Indie Circuit for a long time. She was a part of many feuds on NXT and also had a match once against Shayna Baszler for NXT Women’s Championship, which she lost.
