Very few people have questioned Rousey’s in-ring ability since she came to WWE. However, questions have been raised about her ‘acting’ and promo skills, two important ingredients to be a successful WWE star. Renowned MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, who has also worked with WWE, recently offered his services to The Rowdy One.
Ariel Helwani thinks he could help Ronda Rousey
Ronda Rousey surprised many people with her smooth transition to WWE from the world of the UFC in 2018. She has improved her in-ring work since and has put on better matches. But it hasn’t been smooth sailing for the former UFC Champion when it comes to cutting promos. She herself that she gets “more nervous for promos than matches.”
In pro wrestling, especially in WWE, the ability to speak on the mic is deemed very crucial for success. Some wrestlers have got themselves over with the crowd due to their mic skills while others have benefitted from managers who have spoken on their behalf. Many fans believe that is one aspect where Rousey isn’t good and has struggled.

Ariel Helwani, an MMA journalist, who also interviews WWE stars from time to time, thinks he could help Rousey in that aspect by becoming her mouthpiece as a manager. On the latest episode of The MMA Hour, Helwani said Rousey wasn’t great on the mic and could use her help. He stated, “I could have and could help Ronda Rousey. Yep, yep. Can’t beat that. Not great on the mic, not believable, little too stiff.”

He made the offer to be her mouthpiece. Helwani added, “Have me, the voice of the voiceless, the voice of MMA, the voice of combat sports, come out there and cut promos on her behalf. That’s what I wanna do. I don’t wanna cut promos on my behalf, I wanna cut promos on other people’s behalf.”
A lot of fans do believe The Baddest Woman on the Planet would benefit from having someone who can talk for her and hype her up pretty much what Paul Heyman did for Brock Lesnar for many years.
