Last year in August, Dwayne Johnson collaborated with UFC to launch a new line of ‘Project Rock’ shoes. With the intention of bringing innovation, technology, and quality to the shoe market, he launched Project Rock x UFC BSR 2 and Project Rock Slides as the new shoe collection went live. It is very hard to pinpoint whether his business venture with UFC is bringing any results or not because of the mixed review from the people. Some people have praised Project Rock shoes while others have straight up lambasted ‘The Rock’ for his shoe line.

Recently, a fan took his complaint regarding Project Rock shoes online and slammed the $800 million-worth actor.

A few days ago, a Twitter user complained about his Project Rock shoe soles wearing out before the tags on the insoles. He claimed to have worn it only 15 times for an hour and a half each time before the product gave out. Tagging Johnson and Under Armour (the manufacturing company), he criticized the poor quality of the shoes.

‘The Great One’ came with a savage message to this tweet. In a very polite and humble manner, he replied to the fan on Twitter. He used pure logic to hit back with a reply that stated that the insoles rub with soft human foot tissue while the outer shoe soles have to bear the wear and tear of concrete and hard surfaces.

Seeing this reply from the wrestler-turned-actor made the fan more furious thus he opted to use obscene language to abuse Johnson. He accused the Black Adam star of hurting young men by setting false expectations with his unrealistic physique. So far Johnson hasn’t replied to this hateful tweet.

Well, this Twitter fan is not the only one that had a problem with the quality of Johnson’s shoe brand.

In September 2022, Nate Diaz defeated Tony Ferguson at UFC 279. After his match, he appeared at the post-fight conference and took a shot at Johnson’s footwear brand. Just as the Twitter user mentioned above, he criticized the quality of project rock shoes.

He mentioned the shoes created a lot of trouble for him during his fight against Ferguson. Even ahead of his fight, he complained about the shoes during an interview with ESPN, which was removed from the tape but later came to light after a fan shared it on Twitter.

Very recently, another UFC fighter, Tanner Boser, complained about the UFC-Project Rock partnership. He went online to express his frustrations about being forced to wear Project Rock shoes. He used some profanity while protesting against Johnson’s footwear brand.
