John Cena is by far one of the most popular WWE superstars ever. His charisma, physique, and wrestling abilities have had everyone impressed. Over the years, Cena has inserted himself into the position of a WWE legend, whom everyone looks up to.

John Cena has had several high-profile rivalries throughout the course of his career. Cena joined WWE in 2002, and soon was soaring up high amongst the top stars. However, a few years ago, he left being a full-timer in WWE and joined Hollywood to pursue his further career as an actor.

The 45-year-old was also in a relationship with WWE Hall of Famer, Nikki Bella from 2013 to 2018. Cena proposed Nikki Bella at WrestleMania 33, after their match against The Miz and Maryse. However, their engagement won’t last long, and would they eventually breakup, a few months prior to their wedding.

The Bella Twins would later retire. WWE would induct the twins at the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame, as the class of 2020. Speaking to ET, The Bella Twins opened up about their WWE Hall of Fame induction. However, both the Bella Twins thanked John Cena for his contribution.

Nikki Bella said, “John was a big part of that. He really helped me be that fearless side and showed me a part of that world that I never saw before.” She further stated that breakups did not mean that people could no longer thank the people who have helped them. She said, “I think just because you have breakups or whatever it may be, doesn’t mean you can’t thank those people and just truly be so grateful for the help that they had.”

Nikki Bella was forced to retire in 2019, due to her neck injuries and other health issues.

Brie Bella is the other half of the Bella Twins. The Twin sisters were a big part of WWE during their Divas scenario. Brie Bella is currently married to AEW Superstar, Daniel Bryan. In the same interview with ET, Brie Bella also showed her gratitude towards Cena.

She said, “I even texted John to thank him because you do, when you get inducted to the Hall of Fame, you want to start to reach out to people and thank them.” Bella stated Cena played a huge role in her being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. She also stated how Cena would also give them advice after their matches. The Bella Twins are currently retired, however, fans would always want to see the last glimpse of them in the ring.
