WWE released Ric Flair a while back, and since then, the WWE Universe and other fans have wondered what’s next for the WWE Legend.

Following his release, Flair has appeared on other promotions such as Triple Mania and NWA 73. At Triple Mania, he was present by his son-in-law Andrade’s side. At NWA 73, he cut a thriller promo where he wholeheartedly thanked Vince McMahon, Triple H, and others for being there for him throughout his WWE career.

Reportedly, it was Ric Flair who had requested for his release. Initially, the reason for the same was unknown, but later news surfaced that Flair had tried to talk to Vince McMahon about Charlotte Flair’s storyline. This prompted McMahon to release Ric Flair.

Now, since he is free to work anywhere else, it’s possible Ric Flair will soon make his AEW debut.

It so happened that after Dynamite, on a Rampage run, Andrade secured a victory over Pac, but turned on Chavo Guerrero Jr. This led to a brawl, and reportedly, this could be the window of opportunity for Ric Flair’s AEW debut.

If this actually happens, AEW will have gained a serious legend and a mentor for the entire roster!

Ric Flair did not like his last storyline on WWE

Prior to his release, Flair was working on a storyline with Charlotte Flair and Lacey Evans. In that storyline, he was put in a romantic storyline with Evans. This is something The Nature Boy did not like.

The storyline started when Flair selected Lacey Evans as his protege instead of Charlotte Flair. This did not sit well with his daughter. Moreover, it drove a wedge between Charlotte Flair and Lacey Evans.
