Leaving WWE was one of the most shocking decisions in John Cena’s career. From the titles to the matches, John Cena established a straightforward path to becoming the GOAT in WWE. While fans still consider him one of the best in the ring, Cena is not associated with the WWE anymore. Instead, because of several prominent roles in major Hollywood movies, Cena is a movie star.

But one of his biggest roles to date, Jakob Toretto, Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto’s brother, came to an end with Fast X. Well, Cena fans shouldn’t worry as another billion-grossing franchise producer has spoken about The Champ’s involvement in his series.

Transformers producer addresses John Cena’s absence from the new movie

In an exclusive interview with ScreenRant, Lorenzo di Bonaventura sat down to talk about his new movie, Transformers: Rise of the Beast. The interviewer promptly asked him about the absence of Cena’s character, Agent Burns, in the new movie.

The producer replied, “I’d love to work with John again. He’s fantastic, and hopefully, we can bring him back into the series.” Cena even changed his hairstyle. His bald head was iconic in wrestling circles and this movie will shine a light on it as well. It would be lovely to see Cena return as Agent Burns in the next Transformers movies.

While his first few movies didn’t connect with the audiences, Cena is slowly but surely picking up his pace. Compared to his other fellow wrestler-turned-actors like Batista and The Rock, Cena has had an interesting journey in Hollywood.

What’s next for John Cena in Hollywood?

Starting all the way in 2006, his first movie, because of various circumstances, was The Marines. A WWE-led project that didn’t go anywhere, as it was Cena’s first movie. But it was Trainwreck that made a positive impact on his career trajectory as it had other big movie stars as well. After Daddy’s Home, Sisters, Blockers, it felt that Cena was looking to become a comedic actor until 2018’s Bumblebee.

Coupled with F9 and Suicide Squad, Cena established that he could play in the big leagues as well. In the latter movie, Cena also starred as the protagonist in a TV series centered all around his character, Peacemaker. His role in the upcoming DCEU movies is also concrete given the head, James Gunn’s love for his character and working with Cena. Only the sky is the limit for Cena in the upcoming years.
