The match’s ending shocked fans, but the news coming out of the wrestling community will shock you even more.

Lesnar is known to have a sparse booking in the WWE since his return. He only part-takes in massive matches at big events. However, after his match at SummerSlam, there’s some bad news surrounding the Beast that fans may not like.

Lesnar has been known to come and go from the WWE since he quit back in 2004. After he returned, he began working on a part-time schedule often taking breaks after a big match or a feud. His feud with Cody Rhodes began a little after WrestleMania 39 this year and ended at SummerSlam. Rhodes won the first match at Backlash after which Lesnar picked up a win at Night of Champions. And at SummerSlam Rhodes won after a grueling encounter to end the feud and handing Lesnar a rare SummerSlam defeat.

Now that the feud is over, Rhodes has moved on to the next chapter in his story, but what about ‘The Beast’? According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Lesnar will not be seen until Mania season. “He’s going to be gone for a while, no time soon as far as the next 4 months or something like that,” Meltzer said. This means the next chance to see Lesnar inside the squared circle will be around WrestleMania 2024.

Meltzer said Lesnar was booked for one of the upcoming PPV events this year. However, he will not be appearing on it. The forthcoming PPV events for the WWE are Payback, Fastlane, Crown Jewel, and Survivor Series. Next year kicks off with the Royal Rumble leading to the road to WrestleMania 40. Lesnar is known not to hang around with the WWE for long after finishing a feud and considering he has been involved with WWE programming before WrestleMania this year, a break is likely on the cards.

Somewhere around the Royal Rumble, Lesnar could make his return or be ahead of it if a storyline is involved.

Lesnar’s moment with Rhodes at the end of SummerSlam was unplanned

The SummerSlam match between Lesnar and Rhodes was hugely anticipated as this would end their feud. The match was a slobfest, with Rhodes visiting Suplex City multiple times. Despite Lesnar’s might and strength, Rhodes was able to pick up the win against ‘The Beast.’

However, after the match, Lesnar offered Rhodes a hand and hugged him. He raised Rhodes’s hand as a sign of respect for the match’s victor. This gesture was out of character for the Beast.

While many fans believed this to be a moment of respect between the two talented wrestlers, according to Triple H, it was unplanned. At the post-SummerSlam press conference, Triple H, the Chief Content Office of the WWE, revealed some shocking facts. Hunter said that the entire moment was spontaneous and not scripted. He said the two could’ve been overwhelmed with emotions and decided to share a moment in the spotlight.
