“So sad to see this” Fans mourn the loss of wrestling legend Brett Sawyer

The wrestling community is disheartened with yet another tragic loss. Fans went on Twitter to express their grief and pay their respects to the departed soul. Here are some of the top comments from the fans.

Brett Sawyer traveled the world and wrestled in different promotions. Unfortunately, the WWE Universe never got to see him showcasing his talent inside a WWE ring. However, he did wrestle Ric Flair in 1982 for The Nature Boy’s NWA World Heavyweight Title in a Portland Wrestling championship match.

The match took place at the Portland Sports Arena on October 2nd, 1982. Both the wrestlers put on a tremendous show and gave cutthroat competition to one another. But the bout could have only one victor and it was Flair who picked a big win on his so-called “favorite opponent.”
