One thing that came out of the Road to WrestleMania 40 is Heel Drew McIntyre. Since he has turned heel, McIntyre has been one of the most formidable people on the roster. While he has many stars on his target, one person he could not remove his focus from is CM Punk. Even though it has been weeks since he injured Punk, McIntyre is not stopping with his jabs at the Best in the World.

Drew McIntyre on CM Punk’s return

In this week’s episode of SmackDown, The Scottish Psychopath was being interviewed ahead of his Elimination Chamber match. Talking about how high the stakes are, he said, “If I lose, my entire career is about as useless as CM Punk’s return to WWE.” It is safe to say that he is not stopping when it comes to roasting CM Punk.

The roast fest started when he shared a meme on his social media making fun of Punk’s “WrestleMania Dream.” For those who are unaware, McIntyre’s DDT caused CM Punk a career-threatening triceps tear at the 2024 Royal Rumble. Following this, both WWE and Punk made it official that he will be staying out of action until he is cleared by experts.
