“B+”: Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Final Boss Return Run Given Mediocre Rating Despite Fan Excitement

The Rock came home to the squared circle a few months ago amidst a Holywood standstill and immediately turned the pro-wrestling world upside down in a positive way. Then some time later, The People’s champion found himself standing between the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes and his story. This earned himself a high-flying spot for WrestleMania XL alongside his Samoan cousin, Roman Reigns. Also, he slid into the core community of TKO board members and chimed in on a series of decision-making tasks. However, after all these efforts, it seems WWE legend Bully Ray is still not convinced of the Rock effect of the business.
Bully Ray underrates The Rock’s Final Boss stint
Although The Great One invited some criticisms on his way over going beyond some PG rules while cutting out anti-Cody Rhodes promos, his heel turn has been a massive sell and kept people hooked with the products for the last few months. But the popular wrestling voice Bully Ray possesses a different outlook to it.

While asking to rate The Rock’s performance in his epic Final Boss run, Ray could only go up to B+. In the justification, he explicated, ”Did this take as many twists and turns as I thought it would? Absolutely not. Um really? No. I am talking about the storyline, written turns and twists. That was a complete anomaly. That was the fans changing it, um I mean twists and turns like storyline wise I liked the run, the match. I don’t think that the thing that stood out to me the most about The Rock coming back.”

”The night that he beat Cody Rhodes down in Chicago out in the rain. That was the most impactful thing Rock could have done for me. I mean, in my opinion that he had done when you do things like what he did in Memphis, I think that derails things a little,” he added, diving deeper into his judgment.
The 52-year-old Hall of Famer also had some issues with Rhodes and The Rock swapping their titles on Raw last week.

Bully Ray has never been a fan of The Rock returning and especially turning on Cody Rhodes. He didn’t even get surprised when fans started to boo him terribly. As far as it comes to the latest The Rock segment, we saw the Final Boss tame his ego to appreciate Cody Rhodes’ remarkable title win and share a warm moment touching each other titles. While most people found this gesture gentle enough, Ray deems it as a direct insult to Rhodes’ Undisputed Universal championship.
He devalued the worth of The Rock’s ‘People’s Championship’ which he had been awarded by Yolanda “Lonnie” Williams, the widow of Muhammad Ali, at the WWE Hall of Fame.
