Becky Lynch was the latest name in the list of WWE Grand Slam Champions after a decade at the promotion. After winning the NXT Women’s Championship belt by beating Tiffany Stratton, she is now the sixth Women’s Grand Slam Champion in the promotion’s history. This is a crowning achievement for ‘The Man’. Even her former friend and Four Horsewomen teammate Bayley congratulated her in a very heel way.

Bayley and Lynch have been friends since their time in NXT being babyfaces. Since Bayley turned heel, she’s been at odds with most females in the division, and now Lynch is on that list.

After pinning and winning the title from Stratton on NXT, many of Lynch’s co-workers congratulated her on social media. Wrestlers like Cathy Kelley, Cora Jade, Damon Kemp, Lilian Garcia, and James Ellsworth were among those who celebrated her win. Among them was Bayley, who slipped in a sneaky jab.

Taking to her social media, Bayley tagged Lynch and said, “Took @BeckyLynchWWE long enough 🤣🤣🤭🤭.” This was in reference to the other Four Horsewomen winning the Grand Slam title way before she did. All these women won the title of Grand Slam Champion before Lynch.

Of course, Lynch was also quick to fire back at her former ally. She responded by saying, “Less time than it’s taken you to main event WrestleMania 🤣🤣🤭🤭.”

Unlike her Four Horsewomen counterparts, who debuted at WrestleMania 32, Bayley debuted at WrestleMania 33. This was a great clapback at Bayley, who still hasn’t responded.

Fans loved the exchange and are hoping to see more from the two. While plans are in action to set up a Lynch vs. Ripley feud, fans would be happy with Lynch taking on Bayley. The two were among the most respected wrestlers during their NXT run. The last time they had faced off against each other was at WWE RAW is XXX.

Regardless, while Bayley seems out for blood, it hasn’t stopped Lynch from celebrating.

Lynch was ecstatic after winning her first NXT Women’s Championship belt. She gave a backstage interview where she outlined how important the moment was for her. Lynch said, “It has a great ring to it, doesn’t it? The Grand Slam Man, here we go! Becky Balboa, we did it.” She said she felt disappointed for not winning the title during her initial run in NXT. After moving to the main roster, she never felt like she would ever claim the Grand Slam title. “And then Tiffany just started running her mouth too much and here we freaking are,” she added.

So it seems that Lynch has Stratton to thank for finally achieving her dream.
