Beck Lynch’s episode of Jeopardy drew 4.2 million viewers

Celebrity editions of any game show are always fun to watch. And it gets even more exciting when the celebs involved are our very own WWE stars. Last night Becky Lynch took part in the celebrity edition of the iconic game show Jeopardy.

She did so on behalf of the noble cause, Connor’s Cure. This cause was set up by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in honor of the late Connor Michalek. He was an American WWE fan who received a lot of media attention after a social media campaign was set up for him to meet Daniel Bryan, his favorite professional wrestler.

On last night’s episode, Lynch was participating against Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin and comedian Rachel Dratch. She became the first contestant ever to give zero correct responses through 60 clues. Despite such an embarrassing performance, Lynch helped the show garner around 4.2 million viewers, its highest viewership of the season.

I still vividly remember the time when WWE VHS's used to be played on cable movie channels every Sunday(early 90s in India). And that's where my love for the WWE began. My love and passion for pro wrestling only grew over the years in the form of a mini collection of cards, stickers, tees, action figures and even a WWE Championship belt signed by the 'Big Red Machine' Kane himself (talk about getting lucky). After working in the entertainment industry for over a decade, I am here at ES, as a WWE writer where I have written a variety of articles. Lately, I’ve been covering SmackDown as part of our live WWE coverage, allowing me to keep a close eye on The Bloodline saga, WWE best storyline in years (there I said it!) involving Roman Reigns and his cousins. As a side hustle, I also do standup comedy from time to time.
