WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, legend Mick Foley and one of the women’s tag team champions Chelsea Green graced the Mattel WWE action figure panel at San Diego comic con 2023. While the event was captivating, several superstars expressed their views on their action figures and much more. In the interview with Seth Rollins however, fans were nostalgic when he spoke about Cody Rhodes’ father, the late-great Dusty Rhodes.

What did Seth Rollins say about Dusty Rhodes?

Sam Roberts and wrestler Johnny Gargano hosted the star-studded panel which featured WWE superstars. One of the event’s highlights came in the form of an interview with the revolutionary wherein he addressed his former rival’s father and his mentor Dusty Rhodes.

While talking about getting a new action figure Rollins quoted saying- “the fact that I get to pay homage to the late great Dusty Rhodes and be immortalised in action figure form, it’s big double whammy in a good way.”

Calling it a double whammy, Rollins was evidently thrilled with the honor of getting an action figure based on the Dusty Rhodes polka dot outfit.

Rhodes made his comeback to WWE at WrestleMania 38, facing and defeating a game Rollins in what marked the first match of their trilogy, for those unversed.

During their Hell in a Cell match, ‘The Architect’ played mind games with Rhodes, by wearing the classic Dusty Rhodes polka dot outfit to get inside Rhodes’ head, his way of paying homage.

Rollins targeted Rhodes who suffered a pectoral muscle injury before the matchup, but Rhodes sunk in deep and picked up the biggest victory of his career by overcoming yet another battle.

Since then the two stars have been on different paths, with Rollins currently the holder of the World Heavyweight Championship.

Cody Rhodes still competing with Rollins?

Now this year, while Rhodes has main-evented WrestleMania, Rollins has captured his first world title in over 4 years by winning the inaugural WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Even though they are involved in different feuds right now, they are still competing with each other to be the face of RAW according to Rhodes.

Both stars are highly popular and remain focused to be the biggest name on Monday Nights, which could led to them revisiting their feud from last year.
